Kendra Antony is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#4581) and a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Lethbridge and her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology a private, accredited university in Vancouver. She has also completed post-graduate training in Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma, and Sensory-Motor Psychotherapy. Kendra’s article “Self-Injury Groups on Facebook” was recently published in the Canadian Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Since 2006, Kendra has been dedicated to the helping field and has experience in a variety of counselling and social agencies including emergency youth shelters, stabilization programs, group homes, the YWCA, employee and family assistance programs, and various non-profit organizations. She is proud to be an approved provider for the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP) and ICBC related claims.
Kendra has a sincere interest in helping others and brings warmth, compassion, and acceptance to her relationship with her clients. She understands the importance of connection when building a therapeutic alliance and strives to create an atmosphere of trust and safety. She’s been privileged to work with a diverse population of individuals including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, as well as those of various cultures, religions and sexual orientations.
